Norman Rockwell. Your grandmother’s favorite painter. Purveyor of 20th Century, middle-American wholesomeness in all its grandiose nostalgia, masterfully crafted in oils, with a puppy included for good measure. Lifelong Boy Scout and Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient.

My favorite thing about Rockwell, now and forever, is knowing that one of his final portraits was of Colonel Sanders.
